Every year around this time of year, we make a plea for gifts to our Annual Fund Campaign.
“But we already pay tuition,” you’re thinking. “Why is the school asking for more money?”
In fact, tuition only covers the cost of staffing the school and basic operational expenses. We, like other independent schools, depend on our Annual Fund Campaign to pay for “the extras,” like buses, field trips, and this year, extra facilities. Did you know, for example, that we have been renting the gymnasium at Trinity-St. Paul Church once a week for our Grade 5/6 students? Or that our JKs have started going to the ROM every other week? Opportunities like this are made possible by funds raised in our Annual Fund Campaign. More funds allows for more opportunities.
This year, more than ever, we want to take our students out and about — to expand our learning space. We are on the look-out for gymnasiums we can rent, places we can visit, arenas we can skate in, and so on. Our temporary locations have been an incredible substitute for our regular building, but the limited space and COVID rules make us want to explore the many resources our city has to offer. Your gifts help us do that.

All donations will be eligible for a tax receipt, since The Mabin School is a charitable foundation.
