Chris is an executive, product strategist, and advocate for progressive education. Most recently, she was founder and CEO of Scoot & Doodle, a Palo Alto-based, education tech company, pioneering project-based learning for a new generation of digital learners. Before moving into technology, she was a digital media leader and journalist. She was managing director and executive producer for Sawyer Media, a Sequioa-backed startup, and owned a boutique media consulting firm for Fortune 500 companies. Before that, Chris was a producer for “NBC Nightly News” and an Emmy-nominated broadcast producer for “NBC’s Meet the Press.” Chris served on the board of trustees for Bay Area-based non-profits; Curiodyssey, a children’s science center, and Friends of PreSchool Family, a preschool and parent education program. She and her husband reside in Toronto with two children, one who attends Mabin.
