A graduate of Harvard Law School and Amherst College, Jeffrey is a highly regarded corporate and community leader with global experience building teams, brands, and businesses in the sports, entertainment, media, consumer products, digital technology, and not-for-profit industries throughout North America.
Prior to his current position as Chief Executive Officer at TVO, Jeffrey served as Commissioner of the Canadian Football League and held senior leadership positions at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Tire Corporation, Reebok, Mattel, and Warner Brothers.
After years in corporate America, Jeffery moved to Toronto to become Chief Operating Officer of Right to Play, a global humanitarian sport for development organization working in more than 20 of some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities. He continues to be driven by purpose and passion for education, sports, and service to others through his role at Ontario’s multi-media educational organization (TVO), speaking engagements, and coaching youth sports.
Jeffrey has been a featured speaker at Harvard Law School, Stanford University, Arizona State University, Schulich School of Business, Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management, Drexel University Law School, and the University of New Brunswick. Among other educational institutions, on a variety of subjects ranging from transformational leadership to sports and marketing.
He is both proud and humbled to have been the recipient of several awards including: African-Canadian Achievement Award for Excellence in Sports; Historica Canada’s Trailblazer Award; Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers’ Association Beacon of Industry Award; National Bar Association Sports Attorney of the Year Award.
Jeffrey and his wife Carly are proud parents of their two sons, Gabriel (Class of 2022 at The Mabin School) and Justin (Class of 2023 at UCC).
