Kathrin is thrilled to join the Mabin School as an Associate Teacher. Prior to joining, Kathrin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Studies at Ryerson University and a Master of Arts degree in Child Study and Education with an Additional Qualification in Special Education Part I at the University of Toronto (OISE). She recently taught internationally as a Kindergarten Lead Teacher in Kuwait (the Middle East) and as a Grade 2 teacher in Barbados.

Kathrin has always been a passionate teacher who enjoys thinking outside the box and connecting with each of her students on their level through their interests, abilities, learning styles and multiple intelligences. She strongly believes that children are competent, capable and should feel empowered to direct their own learning in a way that is fueled by their natural curiosity. Kathrin loves cooking, playing soccer, dancing and travelling, which is often integrated in the classroom.
