Laura is excited to join The Mabin School as Associate Teacher for Grades 2-3. She holds an Honors BA in Psychology from York University and an MA in Child Study and Education from OISE. Laura always seeks challenges that she’s passionate about, whether that’s being part of addressing inequity in education for Indigenous students as a teacher in the remote, fly-in community of North Spirit Lake First Nation for 2 years, or being an Occasional Teacher with the Peel District School Board while teaching Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 at Spirit of Math for gifted and high achieving students.

Outside of her background in education, Laura enjoys being active by doing yoga, hiking and biking, and has a variety of interests including gardening, ice fishing and occasionally dabbling in the visual arts.
