At The Mabin School, our mission is to create the next generation of original thinkers, adaptive leaders and caring citizens. A progressive, co-educational, JK-Grade 6 school in downtown Toronto, we are unapologetically small. That’s why we feel like a family. We are Canada’s first independent Ashoka Changemaker School, and are recognized for instilling the qualities of leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and, most of all, empathy.

Since 1980, The Mabin School has been at the forefront of progressive education. Our kids lead the way as we co-create a new curriculum every year based on our students’ emergent interests and questions. From the beginning, we have focused on the 4Rs: Reading, ‘Rithmetic, ‘Riting, and RELATIONSHIP. The social-emotional curriculum is woven through every subject every day.
